What a week!
This week in the land of QuillSnap, we experienced a blizzard that dumped nine inches of snow and left us without power for 13 hours! Today, however, the weather is sunny and a pleasant 60 degrees. The blizzard was fun and made for a perfect day to be on the computer—until the power went out. Candles created a cozy atmosphere, leading to an early night. The morning revealed a picturesque view of crunchy, shiny snowdrifts, but we still had no power. Fortunately, we have a generator, and as soon as we fired it up, the power was restored! Of course!
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of sharing some exciting secrets about QuillSnap with a wonderful group of new friends and aspiring faeries at the Walnut Public Library. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, filled with laughter and curiosity as we explored the enchanting world of QuillSnap together. It was a truly delightful experience, full of engaging discussions that made it a memorable morning for everyone involved.
Earlier this week, my surgeon gave me a positive report. While I’m grateful for the good news, my energy levels still need a couple more weeks to fully recover and return to where they were before the procedure. I appreciate everyone’s support during this healing process.
Next week promises to be quite eventful—be sure to check my calendar for all the specifics! I’m excited to engage with some enthusiastic third graders at IKM-Manning School, where we’ll be diving into the art of storytelling and creative writing. I anticipate a lot of laughter and creativity as we explore their imaginations together.
On Thursday, I’ll visit the Panora Public Library, a wonderful place for fostering a love of books and reading, where I will share some QuillSnap secrets. Then, on Friday, I’ll wrap up the week in Manning, where I’ll continue sharing my story. It’s shaping up to be a fulfilling and enjoyable week!
