What do faeries do when they take a sabbatical?

This was my second sabbatical with the faeries of QuillSnap, and it was a striking contrast to my first experience. During my initial sabbatical, we found ourselves on a serene beach in the middle of winter, while harsh cold blanketed everything back home in QuillSnap. The faeries, with their iridescent wings fluttering to keep cool, were deep in contemplation, focusing on the future of the Faery Academy of QuillSnap and envisioning its potential conclusions.

Once again, we gathered on the sun-kissed beach, surrounded by palm trees and the soothing sounds of the ocean waves. The warm weather embraced us, allowing the faeries to stretch their delicate wings comfortably, keeping them soft and pliable instead of hard and frozen. It was a season of rejuvenation, creativity, and joy as the faeries shared their ideas and dreams for the academy in a second book, all within an atmosphere buzzing with life and inspiration.

The excitement surrounding the release of the FAQ has been palpable, with the fanbase expanding steadily. The second book has evolved into a vibrant tapestry of ideas, likened to a river enriched by numerous glittering tributaries that flow away from it. These tributaries represent the diverse concepts and themes that the team has been exploring.

In their creative brainstorming sessions, the team gathers over intoxicating cups of their favorite beverage, pansy potion, a drink celebrated for its unique flavor and magical properties. These gatherings have sparked an abundance of imaginative ideas, so many, in fact, that not all of them will be able to find a place in Book 2.

Recognizing the potential for even more storytelling, conversations have also begun about Book 3, where they hope to further expand and develop these intriguing concepts. Each member is excited about the possibilities that lie ahead, contributing their thoughts and perspectives to ensure the series continues to captivate its audience.

This week will be dedicated to “rebuilding” the author to get back to her writing. I will let you think about that for now.
