Christmas Threw up in my House!

Christmas definitely threw up all over my house!-In a Good Way

Christmas is just around the corner, arriving tomorrow, and the excitement in the air is palpable for this Papa and Mimi. Last evening, while we were out, the final boxes of gifts arrived, so today I’ll be busy wrapping those up. There’s a delightful mix of presents waiting to be beautifully wrapped and placed under the tree.

In addition to gift preparation, I have a few food preparations on my agenda for today. I’m accommodating  different dietary preferences, which has made planning a bit of a challenge. One of the families  follows a vegan diet, and rather than trying to create a meal that meets their tastes, they have opted to bring their own dishes. This works out well and allows them to enjoy the meal they love.

The second family, on the other hand, adheres to a strict weight-watching regimen. As a result, my food prep over the last two years has had to be quite minimal, focusing on lighter fare that aligns with their health goals. This means I’ll be preparing fewer, yet hopefully flavorful, appetizer dishes that we will graze upon.

With my family’s background in healthcare, we have learned to celebrate Christmas whenever we can find the time to gather. It’s all about cherishing those moments together, regardless of the traditional meal or the specific dates. That connection is what truly matters during the holiday season!

I’m now on my fifth day of struggling with laryngitis, and it’s incredibly annoying. My throat is not sore, just feels dry and strained from trying to talk. I can’t wait to get back to normal. I am not sure my husband feels the same way!
